THE TINY BEAR PROCESS
Surprisingly, Tiny Bear begins its creation process much like beer. We take malted barley, water and yeast, and begin fermentation much like beer. The barley releases sugars and the yeast turns that into alcohol. This process takes several days and creates a liquid called wash which has a relatively low alcohol content.
We then begin the distillation process in our copper pot still. This separates the alcohol from the wash resulting in a liquid with a much higher alcohol content. The next part is one of the many aspects that make Tiny Bear Whisky special. We age our whisky in wine barrels, which creates a distinct and entirely unique flavour profile created from the rich aromas of the wine barrel.
